About EFASOM

Education for All Somalia (EFASOM) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to the right to quality and safe education for all Somalis. Founded in 2006 by a diverse group of scholars and advocates from various sectors, including human rights, media, and civil society organizations, EFASOM works tirelessly to support education in Somalia, particularly in crisis and post-crisis recovery situations. The organization’s mission is to provide inclusive education for all, with a focus on marginalized groups, including women and children, amidst ongoing regional challenges.

EFASOM’s initiatives focus on three main areas:

Policy Advocacy: Influencing educational policies to ensure inclusive and equitable education.
Capacity-Building: Strengthening civil society organizations to support educational initiatives.
