Claned Expands Into New Markets through Co-Operation with the Royal Commonwealth Society

Claned Group has gained a unique access to the commonwealth markets through its holding company Learning Intelligence Group LIG. LIG, a leading Nordic edtech business development group from Finland, has signed a co-operation agreement with the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS). This agreement marks the first of its kind in Finland in education field. The co-operation agreement was initiated and supported by the British and Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland Ry (B3CF).

The co-operation was announced during the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition Award Ceremony, which took place in late November in Buckingham Palace in London in the presence of H.R.H. The Duchess of Cornwall.

Vladislav Dobrokhotov, Director of The Royal Commonwealth Society Nordic-Baltic Hub states:
“This cooperation is designed to help to shape and develop and grow LIG’s business, which fits into the RCS’s agenda of promoting Commonwealth values, in particular in the educational field. I look forward to a warm and productive relationship and I am sure we will find many and varied ways in which we can collaborate in the pursuit of the RCS objectives in support of the modern Commonwealth.”

Garry Parker, Chairman of the British and Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland Ry comments:
“It is with great pleasure that we facilitated this cooperation for our member company, LIG, which is also a part of the B3CF Champions programme, a new initiative helping SMEs from the Nordic & Baltic region trade and invest across the Commonwealth. The cooperation with the Royal Commonwealth Society will help our member company to access new clients across the 52 Commonwealth countries.”

Learning Intelligence Group LIG is building an edtech portfolio of companies with heavy pedagogical and deep tech background. Today it owns a majority in two disruptive and fast growing edtech companies: Claned and GraphoGame.

Claned recently won the Best Learning Analytics Tool 2017 award by The Edvocate and its AI powered collaborative learning environment is used by customers in over 20 countries. GraphoGame is the only evidence based literacy game in the world and has been developed in close cooperation with neuropsychology and language pathology researchers from 20 leading universities such as Cambridge, Yale, Zürich, Lund and Beijing Normal University over the last 10 years. The mobile and desktop game is available in 14 languages covering over 100 countries.

Vesa Perälä, founder of Claned and CEO of Learning Intelligence Group says:
“Since our first company Claned was founded in 2013 we have focused on building solutions that provide education institutions and enterprises unique insight into what skillsets and competencies users have and what they are lacking. The insight helps organisations to continuously improve their learning and business processes and activities. This year we added a ground-breaking reading game Graphogame to our growing group. The Royal Commonwealth Society has branches in 60 countries and we look forward to our co-operation with them to promote our innovative learning solutions in the Commonwealth.
LIG portfolio companies Claned and Graphogame are members of a national education export program offering Finnish educational know-how and learning solutions globally. Education Finland is a part of Finnish National Agency for Education.
