From Assessment to Action: Making Inclusive Education Work in Real Classrooms

Across Europe, inclusive education is no longer a vision, but a requirement. Yet for many schools, one key question remains unanswered:

What happens after assessment?

Educators often have access to screening tools, but translating results into structured, daily classroom practice is where the real challenge begins.

At UNOWA, we approach inclusion as a continuous system, not a one-time intervention.

The MIKKO methodology is built around a clear pathway:
assessment → interpretation → targeted support → measurable progress

For example, the Cognitive Sphere Assessment helps specialists identify a child’s developmental profile across areas such as visual perception, imitation, communication, and early cognitive skills .

But assessment alone is not enough.

What makes the difference is what comes next:

  • structured learning kits aligned with assessment results
  • methodological guides for educators
  • specialist training programs
  • AI-supported recommendations for individual learning paths

This transforms inclusion from a fragmented effort into a practical, scalable system inside the classroom.

Recently, this approach was presented to a British school as part of ongoing international collaboration efforts. The discussion focused not only on tools, but on how schools can reduce teacher overload while improving outcomes for students with special educational needs.

Because inclusion should not depend on individual heroism.
It should be systemic, structured, and sustainable.
