Vietnam is entering a new phase of education, skills and technology development. TVET modernisation, STEM, digital learning, engineering education, workforce development and stronger links between education and industry are all becoming increasingly important as the country expands its ambitions in advanced manufacturing, innovation and human-capital development.
The Worlddidac Delegation to Vietnam 2026 will bring together a focused group of international education and training solution providers for direct exchange with the institutions shaping these developments.
Across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, participants will meet with government authorities, development partners, innovation organisations, universities, TVET institutions, schools and business networks to better understand current priorities, future projects and areas where international expertise and solutions may contribute.

Why Vietnam – and Why Now?
Vietnam’s economic transformation is creating growing demand for a more highly skilled workforce and for education systems that can respond to new technological and industrial requirements.

Strategic Engagements
Ministry of Education and Training – MOET
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) is the principal governmental counterpart for the mission and Vietnam’s highest authority for education policy, regulation and strategic development.
Discussions will address areas including education modernisation, TVET, higher education, digital transformation, AI in education, STEM, teacher development and international cooperation.
For participating organisations, engagement with MOET provides an important opportunity to understand Vietnam’s national education priorities directly at policy level and explore areas where international expertise and institutional cooperation can contribute.
National Innovation Center – NIC
The National Innovation Center (NIC) plays a central role in Vietnam’s national innovation ecosystem and provides an important bridge between technology, industry, universities, start-ups and international partners.
Key areas of relevance include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, EdTech, high-tech industries, semiconductor workforce development, technology transfer and university–industry collaboration.
For the Worlddidac delegation, NIC provides a strategic perspective on how Vietnam’s technology ambitions are translating into new requirements for talent, education and future skills.
Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology – VAST
The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) is one of the country’s leading scientific institutions, overseeing research institutes, advanced laboratories and scientific education.
Its work spans AI, robotics, automation, advanced materials, biotechnology, space technology and other strategic scientific fields, while also supporting technology transfer and international research cooperation.
The engagement is particularly relevant for Worlddidac members working in advanced STEM education, scientific and laboratory infrastructure, engineering education, research technologies and university–industry collaboration.
National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development – NATEC
Operating under the Ministry of Science and Technology, NATEC supports Vietnam’s innovation and technology entrepreneurship ecosystem, including technology commercialisation, start-up development and cooperation between research institutions and industry.
Discussions will be particularly relevant to organisations working in EdTech, AI, technology transfer, educational innovation, entrepreneurship and university–industry cooperation.
NATEC also provides an important connection to Vietnam’s wider innovation ecosystem and to initiatives aimed at turning research and emerging technologies into practical applications.
Universities, TVET Institutions and Centres of Excellence
The mission will include engagement with selected universities, vocational institutions, industrial training centres and centres of excellence in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The stakeholder programme includes leading institutions such as Vietnam National University Hanoi, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, alongside international and private universities and relevant TVET institutions.
These visits will bring the delegation closer to the implementation level, with discussions around engineering and technical education, laboratories, digital learning, applied STEM, vocational training, research infrastructure and industry-oriented skills development.
Asian Development Bank
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a priority development partner for the mission, with relevance across skills development, TVET, digital learning, climate resilience and human capital.
Engagement with ADB will provide participants with a development-finance perspective on Vietnam’s education and skills priorities and the areas where future investment and international expertise may intersect.
World Bank
The World Bank is another priority development partner, with areas of relevance including education reform, teacher development, higher education, digital transformation and learning.
Dialogue with the World Bank will complement government and institutional meetings by providing insight into the wider development context surrounding education modernisation and human capital development in Vietnam.
Business and Industry
The mission will also connect education with the needs of Vietnam’s rapidly developing economy.
Engagement with business organisations and selected industry representatives will focus on workforce requirements, technology, manufacturing, digital transformation and cooperation between education and industry.
The concept includes potential engagement with organisations such as the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), EuroCham Vietnam and other international business associations, as well as leading technology and industrial companies active in Vietnam.
