ISTE 2017

From June 25-28, 2017, another successful ISTE Conference took place. This year, the annual conference was held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

This year, attendance totals were at a record-high with over 15,000 visitors representing 72 countries and all 50 USA states. The conference hall was always packed with interested teachers and business representatives and there was a lively spirit in the room. Throughout the four-day conference, several hundred side sessions took place covering almost every topic one could imagine–from technical demonstrations of ground breaking technologies to the future of education as a whole.

New CEO of ISTE Richard Culatta showed great enthusiasm in kicking off the exhibition and meeting people throughout the conference; and several keynote speakers also happily took part. Among them were Jad Abumrad creater of public radio program “Radiolab”, Jennie Magiera, chief innovation officer at Des Plaines Public Schools in Chicago and the author of Courageous Edventures, and Reshma Saujani, founder and CEO of Girls Who Code.

Representing Worlddidac on site were Worldddac Members BESA, LEGO Education, Vernier Software & Technology, and team members Danny Gauch and Elijah Philson.
