As 2019 unfolds, there is a definite rise in special education needs and permanent exclusions within the education sector. Nisai will be speaking about these key themes and their sustainable solutions at the Bett Show on stand C60.
The future of education is inclusive. Among the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, Nisai aims to focus on goals which can directly impact and transform the world:
• #4 Quality Education
• #5 Gender Equality
• #8 Decent Work and Economic Growth
• #10 Reduced Inequalities
Many Nisai students globally have some form of learning barrier which may limit their access to education. Learners with special education needs who have joined Nisai in Key Stages 3 & 4 have gone on to complete A Levels, progressing to university and the workplace.
Dhruv Patel, CEO of Nisai commented: “As a business, we believe we can make an impact on the Sustainable Development Goals from a number of angles. Quality education is just the beginning – equality and economic growth will follow as a knock on effect.”
More and more schools are now speaking to Nisai about solutions for the problem of fixed term and permanent exclusions. Students are ending up at home, which is where they want to be and school attendance figures are directly impacted by this.
In many cases the behaviour can be down to them seeing the reaction of others, lack of differentiation within the class, an undiagnosed special education need or maybe things which are going on outside of the school environment. Nisai’s short-term courses are used for student re-engagement, covering gaps in a part-time timetable and also periods of fixed-term exclusion.
Join Nisai at the Bett Show (23-26 January) on stand C60 to discuss how we can collaborate in achieving SDG 2030 and provide quality education to students globally.
