Worlddidac is thrilled to announce its affiliation with Don Bosco Tech ASEAN, a network spanning seven + 1 ASEAN countries dedicated to enhancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) opportunities for marginalized youth. This partnership signifies a significant step towards reducing poverty and improving the prospects of disadvantaged young people across the region.
Don Bosco Tech ASEAN has been at the forefront of the TVET movement, actively establishing 36 TVET centres that have already impacted around 9,000 students. These students are supported by a dedicated team of approximately 800 certified trainers and staff members. These centres are strategically located across ASEAN countries and provide access to quality vocational education.
The overarching goal of Don Bosco Tech ASEAN is to reach 27,000 marginalized young individuals, not only enhancing their employability but also creating a positive ripple effect in their families and communities. In addition to its direct impact on youth, Don Bosco Tech ASEAN collaborates with government institutions to bolster TVET centre development and actively engages with companies as training partners and potential employers.
Don Bosco Tech ASEAN member countries include the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Timor-Leste, making it a truly regional effort to uplift the prospects of ASEAN youth. These countries aim to address the challenges of poverty and unemployment through collective action by equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed for meaningful and sustainable careers.
We are honoured to partner with Don Bosco Tech ASEAN in their mission to provide marginalized youth with access to quality vocational education. This affiliation aligns perfectly with Worlddidac’s commitment to advancing education globally, and we are excited about the positive impact we can achieve together.
Don Bosco Tech ASEAN and Worlddidac are eager to work hand in hand to create a brighter future for the youth of ASEAN, fostering prosperity, reducing poverty, and contributing to the region’s sustainable development.
