On August 17th Danny Gauch met with Shyamal Majumdar, Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, in Bonn to discuss the opportunities of future cooperation of Worlddidac and UNESCO and to invite Mr Majumdar as a speaker to the Future Talk Conference in Bern.

Prior to taking up the position at UNESCO-UNEVOC in 2011, Mr Majumdar served as the Director General of the Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC), an inter-governmental organization for human resources development in the Asia-Pacific Region based in Manila, Philippines.

Working closely with various government institutions and technical institutes across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the USA, Mr Majumdar contributed his strong expertise and background in Technical and vocational education and training (TVET), Technical teachers training, Information and communication technology (lCT), Total quality management (TQM), Greening TVET, and Qualifications frameworks towards quality assurance in TVET, to conduct a variety of programmes and projects in the education sector.
