The participation of the Worlddidac Association in Chengdu marked another important step in strengthening international cooperation across the Asia-Pacific education sector and advancing preparations for Worlddidac Asia 2026.
Representing the Association, Director General Dr. Rodrigo Sáez Muñoz engaged with Chinese and international education stakeholders, policymakers, industry representatives, and technology providers to better understand emerging developments shaping the future of education, educational technology, and skills development across the region.
The visit provided valuable opportunities to exchange perspectives on topics including artificial intelligence in education, digital transformation, TVET, future skills, and sustainable learning solutions. It also enabled discussions around international cooperation, market trends, and future collaboration opportunities relevant to Worlddidac members and partners.
Understanding Emerging Trends Across the Region
During the visit, particular attention was given to the rapid evolution of educational technologies and the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping teaching, learning environments, institutional management, and workforce development strategies.
The discussions and meetings held throughout the programme reflected broader regional priorities linked to:
- AI in education
- Technical and vocational education and training (TVET)
- Digital transformation of schools and campuses
- Smart learning environments
- Workforce development and future skills
- International cooperation and partnership opportunities
The visit also provided an important opportunity to observe how education systems across the region are increasingly integrating software, data-driven solutions, and intelligent learning environments into long-term education development strategies.
For Worlddidac, such engagement is essential to ensuring that its members remain connected to evolving policy discussions, technological developments, and emerging opportunities influencing the global education sector.
Strengthening Cooperation with CEEIA and Looking Ahead to Worlddidac Asia 2026
The visit to Chengdu also contributed to ongoing cooperation between the Worlddidac Association and the China Educational Equipment Industry Association (CEEIA) in preparation for Worlddidac Asia 2026, which will be jointly organised by both organisations.
Meetings held during the visit helped further align strategic priorities, discuss future directions for cooperation, and reinforce the shared commitment to supporting innovation, responsible educational technology development, and stronger international collaboration across the education sector.
As co-organisers of Worlddidac Asia 2026, both organisations continue working toward creating a strong international platform that connects ministries, institutions, industry leaders, and solution providers from across the global education community.
In an increasingly interconnected world, international collaboration is becoming more important than ever. Through its activities and partnerships across Asia-Pacific and beyond, Worlddidac remains committed to supporting meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development within the global education ecosystem.
Worlddidac looks forward to continuing its engagement across the region and to welcoming the international education community at Worlddidac Asia 2026.
