Proposed Worlddidac Activities for 2026

Below is the list of exhibitions and fact-finding delegations proposed for 2026.

Exhibition & Fact-Finding Delegation

INDABA Power, Cape Town South Africa (3–5 March 2026)

Indaba Power is Africa’s leading event on renewable energy and sustainable technologies sectors increasingly linked with education through STEM, vocational training, and green skills development. For Worlddidac members, participation offers exposure to policymakers, development partners, and industries investing in energy education and workforce training. Exhibiting or joining a fact-finding delegation allows members to explore partnerships with technical colleges, ministries, and private-sector programs supporting skills for the green economy. South Africa’s growing emphasis on TVET modernization and sustainability education makes Indaba Power a valuable platform to position Worlddidac and its members at the intersection of education, technology, and energy transition, aligning perfectly with the global move toward skills for the future.

EDGEx, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (TBD May 2026)

EDGEx Riyadh is Saudi Arabia’s flagship education innovation event, hosted by the Ministry of Education. It provides unparalleled access to senior decision-makers, investors, and international organizations. The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 prioritizes education reform, digital learning, and human capital development, creating substantial demand for EdTech, STEM, and TVET solutions. In 2025, the event drew over 20,000 participants and saw 40+ MoUs signed confirming its value as a high-impact business platform. For Worlddidac members, participating in a pavilion and/or a delegation at EDGEx 2026 would consolidate its presence in the Gulf, strengthen relationships with regional ministries, and showcase member solutions in one of the world’s fastest-growing education markets.

eLearning Africa, Accra Ghana (3 – 5 June 2026)

eLearning Africa is the continent’s leading conference on digital learning, EdTech, and skills development, bringing together ministers, donors, innovators, and educators from across Africa. For Worlddidac members, it provides a front-line view of how technology is transforming teaching, training, and employability on the world’s fastest-growing continent. Participation in a fact-finding delegation offers access to government officials, NGOs, and international organizations driving education reform and digital inclusion. Ghana, with its strong policy focus on ICT in education and regional leadership role, is an ideal host for exploring opportunities in EdTech, TVET, and teacher training. Joining this event helps Worlddidac members identify partnerships, understand funding priorities, and position their solutions to meet Africa’s rapidly expanding demand for modern, technology-driven learning.

Worlddidac Asia, Hangzhou (15 – 17 September 2026)

Worlddidac Asia 2026 in Hangzhou will be the Association’s flagship global event, uniting education leaders, policymakers, and solution providers from over 50 countries. For Worlddidac members, participation as exhibitors or as part of a fact-finding delegation offers a front-row view of the latest innovations shaping education globally, from AI and digital learning to advanced TVET and STEM technologies. China’s strong investment in education modernization and its dynamic EdTech ecosystem make Hangzhou an ideal location to explore partnerships, supply chains, and institutional collaborations. The event will also host IO’s and national pavilions, the Worlddidac Awards (evaluated as always in Switzerland), and the high-level FutureTalk conference, offering delegates unparalleled networking and market intelligence. Participation strengthens members’ understanding of regional trends, government priorities, and emerging opportunities in Asia’s most influential education markets.

Fact-Finding Delegations

Colombia, Ecuador, Peru & Chile (15-28 March 2026)

The Pacific Coast South America Delegation (PCSAD) represents a coordinated engagement with four dynamic education systems focused on STEM, skills development, and inclusion. These nations are investing heavily in modernizing TVET, expanding teacher capacity, and linking education to innovation and productivity. The region’s shared language and policy frameworks make it efficient for a single delegation to reach multiple governments and institutions. For Worlddidac members, it offers diverse opportunities ranging from curriculum reform in Chile to vocational education partnerships in Colombia and Ecuador. Strategically, it strengthens Worlddidac’s footprint in Latin America and supports long-term partnerships with ministries and education technology providers in a high-growth regional bloc.

Nigeria (TBD April 2026)

Nigeria’s Education Strategic Plan (2018–2030) is closely aligned with SDG 4, focusing on equitable, inclusive, and skills-oriented learning. The country’s large youth population and commitment to expanding TVET, digital literacy, and teacher training make it one of Africa’s most promising education markets. Despite infrastructure and policy challenges, Nigeria’s growing private education sector and partnerships with organizations such as the University of Birmingham signal an openness to innovation. A Worlddidac delegation, would open pathways to institutional collaborations and visibility within the Ministry of Education. With Nigeria’s policy shift toward smart schools and STEM integration, the mission offers direct engagement in areas where Worlddidac members have leading expertise.

Uzbekistan (TBD April 2026)

Uzbekistan is emerging as a model for educational reform in Central Asia through its Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, which prioritizes human capital and alignment with international standards. The government’s agenda to universalize preschool education, expand higher education enrollment, and integrate STEM and digital skills training provides an excellent entry point for Worlddidac members. As the country transitions to a 12-year general education system and embraces competency-based learning, there is strong demand for teacher training, curriculum modernization, and ICT solutions. A Worlddidac delegation would position members to engage early in these reforms, establish institutional partnerships, and support Uzbekistan’s ambition to join global assessment frameworks such as PISA. This mission would raise Worlddidac’s profile and that of its members in a strategically important, reform-minded nation bridging Europe and Asia.

Côte d’Ivoire (8-10 June 2026)

Côte d’Ivoire stands out as a gateway to Francophone West Africa and a regional hub for education innovation. Through its National Digital Education Strategy (2024–2028) and Education Reform Agenda (EGENA), the country is investing in teacher professionalization, TVET modernization, and digital transformation. Government ministries, donor agencies (AFD, UNESCO, AfDB), and private foundations are actively funding initiatives in digital learning and STEM education. A Worlddidac delegation would connect members with key policymakers and implementers, offering opportunities in public–private partnerships and capacity-building programs. With over 60% of the population under 25, Côte d’Ivoire presents a long-term growth market for solutions that enhance employability and skills development. The African Development Bank has its headquarters in Abidjan and would be an important destination for this delegation.

Indonesia or Vietnam (TBD August 2026)

Following the successful 2025 delegation to the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam present logical next steps for expanding Worlddidac’s engagement in Southeast Asia. Both countries are undergoing rapid education transformation investing in digital learning, vocational training, and STEM infrastructure to align with Industry 4.0. Their ministries are seeking international partnerships to upgrade teacher training and expand private sector collaboration. A delegation here would consolidate Worlddidac’s influence across ASEAN, helping members tap into fast-growing markets with robust education spending and reform agendas.

WorldSkills International, Shanghai (22–28 September 2026)

WorldSkills International in Shanghai is the world’s largest showcase of vocational excellence, bringing together over 80 countries to compete and collaborate on skills development for the future workforce. For Worlddidac members, it offers a unique opportunity to observe global best practices in TVET, digital skills, and industry–education collaboration. The event highlights how countries are integrating innovation, sustainability, and technology into skills training key areas where Worlddidac members excel. Participation as part of a fact-finding delegation provides direct exposure to emerging skill standards, assessment systems, and training technologies. It also allows engagement with policymakers, vocational institutions, and corporate partners shaping the next generation of workforce development worldwide.
