The principles

The environment is a primary good that must be preserved. LAP takes the most appropriate steps to ensure the respect and safety of the environment and promotes sustainable processes and products that are environmentally friendly.
In this perspective, the company pursues the following principles:

• Use processes and technologies that prevent and reduce interactions with the territory’s environment.
• Think, implement and carry out the business activity ecologically responsibly.
• Provide ongoing education and awareness about environmental topics to the workforce.
• Promote and ensure all employees a solid environmental sensitivity and acknowledgement about how to protect our environment.

The Challenges

• Reduce the environmental impact of our products.

Encourage a circular economy, i.e., design recyclable products, so they have the minimum environmental impact. LAP is adopting a general reduction of the packaging and choosing more sustainable solutions, that is, packaging that can be quickly sorted, reused and recycled.

• Reduce production waste.

The company aims to limit its production wastage and encourage recycling.

LAP uses only 100% recyclable plastics and recycles all production wastes during production.

• Reduce the energetic impact and CO2 emissions.

LAP’s goal is to maximise our systems’ efficiency to reduce energy consumption.

This politics is finalised to minimise the environmental impact, reducing CO2 emissions due to the production process while allowing economically sustainable transactions.

This philosophy started about 15 years ago. In 2008 LAP invested 10% of its turnover in a photovoltaic system on the factory roof that, up to now, let reduced CO2 emissions by 265 tons. During the last ten years, renewing and optimizing the production process reduced its energetic consumption and the corresponding CO2 emissions by 52%.

To further minimize the environmental impact, at the end of the 2022 year, LAP replaced the original photovoltaic system with a more efficient and ten times bigger (450 Kwp) one to reduce in 2023 up to 90% OF its CO2 emissions, avoiding 170 tons of CO2 during the year.

MISSION

For over 50 years, we have manufactured educational toys for children from 0 to 6 years. Our range results from continuously exchanging ideas with teachers and experts working with infants.

We believe children learning through play are happier and perform better in class. We want each product to be a toy and an educational tool for the child’s healthy development.

We have enriched many LAP products with an activity guide for teachers or logic sheets to support children’s learning. Even the most classical or basic games become, in this way, a means to promote

curiosity, build knowledge and develop cognitive skills.
